Main Hall

The Main Hall is 15.5 m long and 6.6 m wide, with a high ceiling and a serving hatch to the kitchen. Suitable for many types of events ranging from theatre to flower shows and art exhibitions. It has a sectional stage, lighting box and speaker/microphone system. The Main Hall is also perfect for hosting social functions, with an area suitable for a bar or servery and a fully fitted commercial catering kitchen. The capacity of the Main Hall is 80 seated for a dinner and up to 100 for a buffet style event and is licenced to hold up to 120 people. (See our Gallery page for pictures of The Main Hall in use.)

Anna Harvey Room

7.5m long and 4.9m wide. Set out as a meeting room which can hold 20-30 people comfortably, the Room has its own entrance to the Hall as well as access to the kitchen and toilet facilities. This pleasant room is suitable for smaller gatherings and benefits from its own entrance, toilet and basic kitchen facilities. The room features the original fireplace and is ideal for meetings and small conferences. It can also be used as an annex to the Main Hall.

John Sneezum Room

5m long and 4.2m wide. Set out as a meeting room which can hold 10 people comfortably. This light and airy room overlooks the recreation ground and is an ideal venue for small meetings as it is quiet and away from other users of the Hall.

Tables and Chairs

For use in the Hall there is a total of 3 large round tables (which seat 8 comfortably); 12 large folding tables (which will seat 3 on each side); 14 small folding tables, and a trolley with 48 folding chairs. In total, the Hall has 110 chairs.

Other than in the Chair Store, there are usually 2 large folding tables in the Anna Harvey room, together with 12 chairs. In the John Sneezum Room there are 2 more large folding tables and 20 chairs.

Catering

The Servery has a hatch to the Main Hall. It has a kettle, wall mounted water boiler, small fridge, microwave and professional standard glass washer, but not a cooker. The Main Kitchen has a hatch to the Main Hall. It has been equipped for use by professional caterers with a 6 burner gas hob and gas oven, stainless steel work surfaces, a large fridge and a very small freezer and some pots and pans. It can be used to cater for 80+ 3 course meals.

Parking

The Hall is in a semi-rural road and does not have dedicated parking. There is room for about 20 cars on the road within 50m of the Hall and Disabled bay parking just outside the entrance. There is further parking 200m up Long Lane in 30 spaces outside the School.

Recreation Ground

The Hall overlooks Bursledon Recreation Ground which has a children’s playground. These facilities can be used at the hirer’s risk.
