Our Centenary Celebrations have
been a great success with Ten
special events from Stage Shows
to a St George’s Day Barn Dance.
Costume events have proved very
popular with the emphasis on the
Edwardian era and have included
an Edwardian Tea party where the
ladies wore a superb Collection of
the most beautiful Millinery, a
Cricket match where WG himself
turned out to play, ”Songs of Praise”
when our Vicar Peter Vargeson wore
contemporary clerical dress and finally
the the Edwardian Black Tie Dinner.
Groups throughout the village have
taken Part with enthusiasm and we
are indebted to the Cricketers and the
Bursledon Players for their contributions.
Without doubt our Centenary has
proved to be a memorable one.
